Rafsanjani calls for freedom of expression

TEHRAN – Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has called on government officials to guarantee freedom of expression in the country.
“Creating a desirable climate for freedom of speech and thought can benefit the Islamic system,” Rafsanjani said on Tuesday.The savvy statesman also emphasized that the national unity should first be restored, if Iran seeks to promote unity among the world Muslims.
“Without national unity, we can not create unity out of the country,” he asserted.
The enemies can take advantage of the division among officials to undermine the Islamic system and Leadership, he added.
